Grubbe's Wild Ride: Rangers to Oilers Prospect
Jayden Grubbe, the 6-foot-3 Calgary bruiser whom the Rangers snagged in the third round back in 2021, flips his NHL rights to Edmonton for a 2023 fifth-rounder just before they lapse. The Oilers waste no time, inking the former Red Deer Rebels captain to a three-year entry-level deal after his WHL dominance with 134 points in 194 games. Rangers GM Chris Drury flips a guy they weren't keeping into draft ammo, while Edmonton eyes him as bottom-six muscle down the road.
